  This review is about Maple Holistic's Silk 18 conditioner. I have a lot of long (to my waist), thick hair. You'd think with that much hair, I'd be into doing a lot as far as taking care of it-nope, I like to wash and wear with as little maintenance as possible. I've used another product for years but the longer my hair got, the more it seemed that the minimal time spent wasn't enough. So I started doing some research to find a different conditioner. Tried 2 others that also had a ton of good reviews and were more expensive than this one. Neither of those seemed appreciably better than what I had been using before and one was actually worse, especially as to how hard it was to brush through.
  Then I tried Silk 18. Silk is exactly the right word as that is how my hair feels after using it. I especially like that you don't need to use much, even with a ton of hair. For reference, I use about 1 1/2 tablespoons worth and distribute that a wee bit at a time from my scalp down to the ends. I leave it on for a few minutes while I scrub the rest of my body and then rinse. And that's pretty much it. I towel dry my hair, use an extra wide tooth comb and pull it into a ponytail and don't brush it till it's dry. Hair hasn't been this soft and shiny since I was a teenager (a loooong time ago).
  It also smells great and while I know some people wish the smell lasted longer in their hair, I'd rather have it subtle, just as it is instead of possibly being overpowering.
  If you're on the fence about trying it, save yourself some time and expense and try this before you spend anymore elsewhere. What I used to use was less expensive to purchase but I also had to use much more to get results that were not as good as this. Going to try the shampoo next.
